Congratulations!

Congrats to all of our students for your fine playing at the All School Concert!  We are so thankful for each one of you.

 

Spring Break Week

JMS is closed March 16-22.  Don’t forget you can always check the website for information.

No lessons Good Friday, April 10, and No Group classes April 13, the Monday after Easter.

 

Arianna String Quartet Concert

Sunday, March 15, 4:00 p.m. at St John’s Anglican Parish, 7th and Hampshire. 

Don’t miss this opportunity coming right to Quincy! Students attend free.

 

Summer Institute Scholarship Applications

The donations for the scholarship fund helped a great deal to fund two scholarships for this summer.  Apply for these scholarships by April 1, using the on-line application.

 

100 Day Club Party

If you have completed the 100 Day Club this year sign up with your teacher so that you are invited to the party at the end of the school year.  We will be having a party at the art center this year!

 

Spring Solo Recitals

May 15-16 Is recital weekend, and recitals will be held at Calvary Baptist Church.  Let your teacher know ASAP if you have a significant conflict with one day or the other so we can schedule accordingly. 

 

Violin News

Book 1 Group Class: March 23,  Oreo cookie party to celebrate! Bring your favorite flavor to share.

Winner of Grand Prize: Arrianna Trinh won the grand prize for the practice journal records. Keep recording your practices in your journal.  It is a great habit to continue!

 

River Strings Students

Last performance of the year is April 24, at the Quincy Symphony Concert.  Rehearsals left this spring are March 23, 30, April 6, 20.

March 23, 30 we will spend time on duet music, music theory skills, and general skill building.
